What we’re asking you to do
Own the number. Pipeline generated by marketing is yours: the target, the plan, the spend, the result. Not “support sales.” Own it.
Sponsors who’d never heard of us running demos and buying committees where someone already knows the name before sales walks in.
The real questions
- Three buyer segments (emerging biotech, CRO, enterprise pharma) buying in completely different ways. Can you tell us where to concentrate instead of spreading thin across all three?
- Can you build a demand engine and prove what it returned? Not impressions. Pipeline, opportunities, closed revenue.
- Can you kill something that isn’t working, in public, without being asked twice?
- Can you get clinical supply and trial ops people (sceptical, busy, allergic to marketing) to actually engage with what you publish?
- Can you work where the plan changes, and re-plan rather than complain?
- Can you sit with a sales lead who says your leads are junk, take it seriously, and come back with something better?
What you’ll have to work with
A product with real reference customers, in a category where most competitors sound identical. Budget with your name on it. Direct access to leadership: the strategy you propose is the strategy that runs, not something diluted through four layers. A team that will build what you spec.
What we’re not asking for
No required years. No mandatory platform list. No degree. If you’ve delivered growth somewhere hard, we don’t care where you learned it. Tell us what you grew, by how much, and what you’d do differently.
If you read this and started planning, get in touch. If you wanted a requirements list, this isn’t your role.
